Nature’s Path Acquires Raw, Organic Snack Food Maker

Canada-based Nature’s Path has bought a 51 percent stake in organic snack food producer Gorilly Goods. The Wisconsin-based manufacturer makes a line of raw, on-the-go snacks in both savory and sweet flavors. The products are distributed in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa, and Illinois. Gorilly Goods operates out of a 6,500-square-foot facility that is only using about 25 percent of its capacity. With this investment, Gorilly Goods will be able to triple its capacity in its existing space early in 2017. The investment will also provide working capital for Gorilly Goods to expand its distribution internationally.

Gorilly Goods was part of FaB Wisconsin’s FaBCap accelerator program, which helped the company navigate the investor pitch process and guided it through the ownership stake sale, reports BizTimes.
