Stella & Chewy’s LLC has struck a deal with San Diego-based Petco Health and Wellness Company Inc. that will put products from the Oak Creek premium pet food company into Petco stores in all 50 states.
Petco (Nasdaq: WOOF), which has more than 1,500 pet care centers in the United Staes, Mexico and Puerto Rico, will offer a select line of Stella & Chewy’s raw and natural food products on store shelves as well as online and on the Petco app beginning in January 2023.
Stella & Chewy’s is known for freeze-dried raw food enhanced with probiotics and antioxidants. The company, which has a plant at 111 W. Oakview Parkway in Oak Creek, employed 745 workers as of May 2022 making it the sixth-largest food and beverage manufacturer in the Milwaukee area, according to Milwaukee Business Journal research.
Marc Hill, CEO at Stella & Chewy’s said the news advances the company’s mission of making raw and natural diets more accessible to pet owners across the country.
“But that mission isn’t possible without the ongoing partnership of our valued neighborhood pet stores – partnerships we will continue to invest in and support long term,” Hill said in a press release.
Stella & Chewy’s will continue to offer an exclusive line to its neighborhood pet store partners, including Stella & Chewy’s Raw Coated Baked Kibble, Raw Blend Baked Kibble and Frozen Raw products.
